Antoine Mountain
Antoine Mountain gives Mother Nature credit as being the greatest artist of all. His paintings often depict natural surroundings, wildlife, or traditional activities on his homeland of the Northwest Territories, where he was born.

Art itself, it’s the most jealous mistress that you’ll ever have. It can drive you up the wall, if you have any kind of a commitment. But if all you want to do yourself is kind of coast along, then your art will show it. 
I find that your own peers will give you the best criticism there is available. The market is not going to give you any kind of criticism at all. If it sells, that’s all it’s about, that’s all the market is about, and the public. But your own peers, if you can’t convince your own peers of what you’re trying to do, that it’s something that you want to continue doing, then there’s not much else to it. You have to have that kind of honesty about it.
