In most of my work, I deal with issues around stereotypes, and what other cultures think being Aboriginal is, and what they think Indians are. It’s really tough sometimes, because I’ve presented work, saying: “Look, I’m really trying to draw out these stereotypes, and let’s talk about these stereotypes, because they’re untrue, they’re not real. That’s the Hollywood Indian, that’s something else.”“I’ll stop dealing with stereotypes when there are no stereotypes left.”
