I start by looking at the stone, how big it is, the shape and decide what it could be then I start carving. Where does creativity come from? I don’t really think about where it comes from… I only create from what I see and what my own personal experience reveals.
I’m very proud of the youth who are starting to carve today. I didn’t have a teacher or a role model when I began, which was hard. I am hoping we have more role models for the future.
