Ontario is represented by several Indigenous groups that spread across Canada’s largest province, namely: Ojibway, Cree Delware, Potawatomi, Oneida, Mohawk, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga and Tuscarora(1). Métis and diverse Indigenous nations from across Canada will also be represented in Ontario, often due to the large variety of college and university options to study.
The world of television was forever improved upon from the contributions of Bernard McCue who is from Chippewa, Beausoliel First Nations. Bernard’s inherent curiosities lead him toward a post secondary education that established a 30 year career path for him on the leading edge of chemical research and development industry. Bernard has made international achievements by being awarded a number of US patents, one of which is for innovative process improvements he made for the television industry and continues to be used in the manufacturing of all televisions throughout the world. Bernard McCue was duly recognized by his peers and honoured on 2008 with a National Aboriginal Achievement Technology-Trade award(13).
